BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS

The Board of County Commissioners is seeking applicants for its newly created Water Policy Task Force. The purpose of the WPTF is to act in an advisory capacity to the Board with respect to water issues affecting La Plata County pursuant to Sixth Judicial District Water Court Case Nos. 06CW99 and 06CW127, which will require the County to develop a process for administration of these water rights. The Board is seeking two members who shall be attorneys knowledgeable of water law; one representative of the agricultural community; one representative of the real estate development community and three members of the community at large with knowledge and experience in water issues and/or water rights.
