Board of County Commissioners Schedule December 6 - December 10, 2010

MONDAY, December 6, 2010

     1:00 p.m. – The Board will attend a ribbon cutting ceremony for County Road 225A, the newly relocated and reconstructed intersection of U.S. Highway 160 and County Roads 222/223.

     2:00 p.m. - The Board will attend a radio interview with Gina Antrillo at Four Corners Broadcasting, 190 Turner Drive, Durango. To submit a question to the Board of County Commissioners for this interview, please email gina@radiodurango.com.

TUESDAY, December 7, 2010

     9:15 a.m. - EXECUTIVE SESSION – Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4) upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

For purposes of the Board receiving legal advice on specific legal questions pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(b) regarding:

a) The procedure to consider proposed stipulation to ABS RM Investor LLC’s appeal of a County Board of Equalization decision to the State Board of Assessment Appeal; and

b) LPC v. Brown Group.

     10:00 a.m. – PLANNING AGENDA: - The Board will consider:

  • Project #2010-0110, Thrash-Wade-Frizell Boundary Adjustment;
  • Project #2010-0113, Zauberis-Young Boundary Adjustment;
  • Project #2010-0118, Schaaf Class I- 2nd Dwelling;
  • Project #2010-0123, A Los Quatro Vientos Subdivision Phase II Final Plat;
  • Project #2010-0124, Jones, Jorgenson Boundary Adjustment Lot 2A
  • Project #2010-0136, LPLUC Amendment- Temporary Medical Marijuana Regulations;
  • Routine Administrative Matters.

     6:00 p.m. – SPECIAL PLANNING AGENDA: The Board will conduct a public hearing to discuss Project #2010-0070, changes to the Chapter 90 Oil and Gas regulations of the La Plata County Land Use Code, in the Anasazi Room of the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango.

WEDNESDAY, December 8, 2010

     8:30 a.m. - BOARD DISCUSSION TIME: The Board will meet among themselves and with staff to discuss various issues in the Anasazi Room of the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango.

     2:00 p.m. – The Board will meet with staff to discuss the 2011 Budget in the County Manager’s Conference Room of the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango.

     6:00 p.m. – PUBLIC HEARING: The Board will conduct a public hearing to discuss the 2011 La Plata County Budget in the Anasazi Room of the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango.

THURSDAY, December 9, 2010

     No meetings are scheduled for this day.

FRIDAY, December 10, 2010

     1:00 p.m. – The Board will meet with Planning Department staff to receive an update on the La Plata County Comprehensive Plan in the Anasazi Room of the La Plata County Courthouse, 1060 E. 2nd Avenue, Durango.
