MONDAY, Nov. 12

La Plata County offices will be closed in observance of Veterans’ Day.

TUESDAY, Nov. 13

7:30 a.m. – The Board has been invited to attend the La Plata Economic Development Alliance Investors meeting in the Florida Room of the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., Durango.

10 a.m. – BUSINESS AGENDA
The Board will consider:

• Approval of a proclamation of November as Adoption Month
• Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish
• Approval of the renewal of a retail liquor store license for Needles Liquor
• Ratification of a letter of support for a City of Durango Great Outdoors Colorado grant for the development of Oxbow Park
• Ratification of a letter of support for a Durango Transit grant application for Federal Transit Administration funding
• Approval of the renewal of a Los Pinos Fire Protection District ambulance license
• Approval of a letter supporting the Colorado Department of Transportation grant application for $59.7 million in funding from Nationally Significant Federal Lands and Tribal Program (NSFLTP) for the Highway 550 Animas Crossing Project
• Approval of the 2018 La Plata County Community Development Action Plan

WEDNESDAY, Nov. 14

7:30 a.m. – The Board will hold a breakfast meeting with the Durango City Council and staff at the Durango Public Library, 2300 E. 3rd Ave., Durango for the following:

7:30 a.m. - EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4) upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:

a) The purchase, acquisition, lease, transfer, or sale of real, personal or other property pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(a) to discuss real property matters related to the Durango-La Plata County Airport

b) Determining positions relative to matters that may be subject to negotiations; developing strategy for negotiations; and instructing negotiators pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(e) to discuss real property matters related to the Durango-La Plata County Airport

8:30 a.m. – The Board will meet with the Durango City Council and staff for a homelessness strategy update.


10 a.m. – BOARD DISCUSSION TIME: The Commissioners will meet among themselves and with staff to discuss various issues. An agenda for this meeting will be posted by Tuesday morning at: http://laplatacountyco.iqm2.com/Citizens/calendar.aspx

12 p.m. – The Board has been invited to a meeting of the Green Business Roundtable at the Strater Hotel, 699 Main Ave., Durango.

THURSDAY, Nov. 15

10 a.m. – Commissioner Westendorff will hold office hours from 10 a.m. – noon at the Pine River Community Library, 395 Bayfield Center Dr., Bayfield.

FRIDAY, Nov. 16

8:30 a.m. – The Board, County Attorney and Administration will hold a retreat in the Telluride Conference Room of Mercy Administration, 65 Mercado St., Durango.

SATURDAY, Nov. 17

11 a.m. – The Board has been invited to attend the La Plata West Water Authority open house/construction party for Phase 1 Waterline and Blue Hill Tank Projects at the Breen Community Center, 15300 Hwy. 140, Breen.
