Connecting La Plata County
La Plata County's Road & Bridge Division is responsible for maintenance and construction on 653 miles of county-owned roads serving nearly 56,000 county residents. Of these roads, 222 miles are paved and 431 miles are gravel. Across the Road & Bridge Division's  four districts - Marvel, Durango, Ignacio & Bayfield - county crews ensure that this vital infrastructure system serves residents and visitors year-round.
