What is the Self Identification section used for?

    Please note completion of this section is voluntary. Refusal to complete this information will not subject you to adverse treatment. The information you provide is confidential and will be kept separate from your other applicant information. This information will only be used for data reporting requirements and will not be considered in making any employment decisions.

Can I be notified of job openings?

    Yes, go to the "Job Announcement" page and complete a "Job Interest Card." When a position becomes available in a category you selected, you will be notified via email. You may then go to our "Job Announcement" page and submit an online application.

Is it okay to leave an application with your office even though there aren't any current job openings?

    You may do that, but it will be your responsibility to watch for current job openings and notify us when you see an opening for which you want to apply. Your application will be kept on file for six months.

    It is strongly recommended that you complete a "Job Interest Card." When a position becomes available in a category you selected, you will be notified via email. You may then go to our "Job Announcement" page and submit an online application.

Should I include a resume?

    You are not required to submit a resume unless the posting directs you to do so. A resume may, however, assist us in assessing your qualifications. The application must be completed in its entirety, however; do not use "see resume."

What is the status of the position I applied for?

    The status of the posting will be available by checking the Job Listing Status page.

Who can apply for a job with the County?

    Anyone eligible to work in the United States and who meets the minimum job requirements as stated in the posting or ad.
