The important aspect of being a foster parent is that you have experience with children and you are willing to nurture and care for the children placed in your home. Children placed in your home can be infants, preschool children, school age children and adolescents. Our agency provides educational, therapeutic, monetary and in-home support as children are placed in your home.

  • Family Foster Care
  • Kinship Foster Care
  • Transition Homes

Requirements

  • CBI/FBI criminal records check

  • Child Abuse Registry check

  • CPR certification  (both adults)

  • First Aid certification  (both adults)

  • Pet vaccinations

  • Water check if on a well

  • Physician's health certification

  • Autobiographical questionnaire

  • 3 references

  • Foster parent questionnaire (helps determines which children are best suited for family)

  • Foster parent core training  12 hours (both parents)

  • Ongoing training 20 hours per year
