How do I obtain a certified document of registration for in-state tuition purposes or other purposes?

The certificate can be obtained in person or by mail. You must provide identification if requesting in person.

In person:  Go the the La Plata County Elections Department, 98 Everett Street Suite C Durango, CO 81303. The cost is $1.25 check, cash or money order.

By mail:  Send $3.25 check, cash or money order to the La Plata County Elections Department, 98 Everett Street Suite C Durango, CO 81303. Include in your request your printed name, date of birth, residence address, mailing address (if different from your residence address) and signature.

Payment is required prior to issuing the certificate.
