Does La Plata County have a Reserve Deputy Program?

Yes, we currently have a Reserve Deputy program. They work in all three Divisions and their duties vary from covering for short shifts, to long distant transports, courthouse security assistance, to major events and crime scene security. Volunteers are a very big asset to our agency.

You may fill out a county employment application and turn it in to the Sheriff's Office to be considered for any vacancies. All sworn Reserves must have attended a Law Enforcement Academy or an equivalent.   If you have questions, please call 382-7017.
