How do I get my property back after it has been used as evidence?

After a case has been closed by the judiciary system, you will need a Release of Property form signed by the District Attorney's Office at 1060 Main Avenue in Durango. 

You will then need to make an appointment by calling 970-382-7077 or 382-7055.   The office is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 am to 4 pm.  When you arrive for your appointment at the Sheriff's Office, you will need to show photo identification as well as proof of ownership, when applicable.
