Do You Know Your Number Yet?
Click here for maps of Radon Levels in Homes in La Plata County and Radon Levels in Homes in Durango City Limits.
These maps represent results for radon levels of homes in Durango and La Plata County. Each dot represents a home tested (though location adjusted slightly in the interest of individual privacy). The yellow, orange and red dots indicate levels of concern per EPA guidelines. EPA recommends remediation at levels greater than 4 pCu/liter. The results are based on tests completed by La Plata County residents between Winter of 2005 to current. The funds were provided by EPA to CSU La Plata County Extension Office and San Juan Basin Environmental Health jointly for Radon Education. For informational purposes only. If you would like to test your home for radon, please contact Wendy Rice, Family and Consumer Science Agent.
Check Your Pressure Gauge
It is recommended that pressure gauges be checked every one to two years for accuracy. Bring your canner lid to the Extension Office to be checked ($5.00). Additional resources are also available!
