Backyard Food Production Series - 2012 season schedule now available!
Take your garden to a whole new level with this season-long, 12 session series. Learn how to grow your own food - from design and seed starting to harvest, storage, and preservation. All classes are taught by local experts - Extension Agents and Specialists, growers, and professors - and will give you the tools to effectively and efficiently grow lots of food, whether you have a few square feet or a few thousand feet.
- CSU Extension in La Plata County is excited to offer this series of 12 evening classes designed to help you grow and preserve more food for you and your family. The class is held throughout the food production season, starting in Mayand ending in September. We will have 4 classes in May; 3 in June; 2 in July; 1 in August; and 2 in September.

Integrated Land & Management Workshop
We would like to invite you all to the CSU Extension 2012 Integrated Land & Garden Workshop. With assistance from NMSU Cooperative Extension, Fort Lewis College, and the Durango Botanical Society, we are excited to offer this year’s workshop here in Durango, CO. Durango Botanical Society
CSU Extension is excited to be part of the Durango Botanical Society and we are thrilled with all the work being done at the Durango Public Library Demonstration Garden (between the library and the river trail). Come check the garden and become a member of the Society today!

- Pest and Plant Disease Identification - If you need something identified, we first recommend sending in photos with a brief description of the plant or issue. You can also bring in samples to the office. Make sure that insect and disease samples are in a sealed container. We do NOT identify poisonous plants, mushrooms, or animals (please leave the snakes at home).
