Motor Vehicle
The Motor Vehicle Offices are responsible for issuing the residents of La Plata County: License plates, Titles, Renewals, and Vehicle Identification Number (V.I.N.) inspections (V.I.N. inspections are available only at 98 Everett St. Suite A, Durango).
There are currently two motor vehicle offices in La Plata County for your convenience:

V.I.N. verification is done at the Durango location ONLY during the hours of 8:00 am to 11:30 am & Noon to 4:00 pm. Certified V.I.N. inspections are done at 4:00 pm by appointment only.
