MONDAY, Dec. 9

12 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend a meeting of the Bear Working Group at the La Plata County Fairgrounds, 2500 Main Ave., Durango.

TUESDAY, Dec. 10
10 a.m. – BUSINESS AGENDA

The Board will consider:

  • 2019 Employee of the Year Awards
  • Approval of county cash requirements as prepared and posted by the Finance Department and direct staff to publish
  • Approval of the 2020 Colorado Department of Human Services Certification of Compliance for the La Plata County Department of Human Services personnel and merit system
  • Approval of extension of the county's lease to the Durango Gun Club
  • Approval of a Cooperative Agreement between La Plata County Department of Human Services and Colorado State Patrol
  • Approval of a Cooperative Agreement between La Plata County Department of Human Services and Law Enforcement
  • Approval of an Axis Health System contribution Memorandum of Understanding for the operation of the Crossroads Acute Treatment Unit
  • Consideration of a letter of support for Fort Lewis College's proposed Health Science Center
  • Consideration of resolution number 2019-37, adoption of the 2020 La Plata County budget
  • Consideration of resolution number 2019-38 appropriating sums of money for the 2020 budget
  • Consideration of resolution number 2019-39 levying property taxes for the year 2019 to help defray the costs for the 2020 budget year

  • Consideration of resolution No PID3R-2019-1 Palo Verde Public Improvement District 2020 budget
  • Consideration of resolution No. PID3R-2019-2 appropriation of sums of money for the PID3 2020 budget
  • Consideration of resolution No. PID3R-2019-3 levying property taxes for the year 2019 to help defray costs for the 2020 budget year

2 p.m. -  WORK SESSION: The Board will meet with staff from Raftelis and RPI Consulting for a report on the pros and cons of transportation impact fees in unincorporated La Plata County in the Board Room of the County Administration Building, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.

WEDNESDAY, Dec. 11
8:30 a.m. – BOARD DISCUSSION TIME:  The Commissioners will meet among themselves and with staff to discuss various issues. An agenda for this meeting will be posted by Tuesday morning at:  http://laplatacountyco.iqm2.com/Citizens/calendar.asp
2 p.m. – The Board will conduct interviews with applicants for a position as the county representative on the Southwest Basin Roundtable, in the Board Conference Room, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.
3 p.m. – EXECUTIVE SESSION
Pursuant to Colorado Revised Statute § 24-6-402 (4) upon the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the quorum present, the La Plata County Board of County Commissioners will hold an executive session to discuss the following matters:
a) Personnel matters pursuant to Colo. Rev. Stat. § 24-6-402(4)(f) regarding  a  performance appraisal of the County Manager
6 p.m. – The Board has been invited to attend a Colorado Air Quality Control Commission Rulemaking Hearing in the County Administration Building Board Room, 1101 E. 2nd Ave., Durango.

THURSDAY, Dec. 12
10 a.m. – Commissioner Julie Westendorff will hold office hours for members of the public to meet with her to discuss issues of interest or concern in the county at the Ignacio Community Library, 470 Goddard Ave., Ignacio.
